ECC Chair Meets UNEST Chief Technical Advisor

23 July 2019 – Kabul

Mrs. Zohra Bayan Shinwari, ECC Chair, and CEO Chaman Shah Etemadi met with United Nations Electoral Support Team (UNEST) Chief Technical Advisor in ECC office in Kabul.

ECC Chair welcomed UNEST Chief Electoral Advisor and briefed him about operational progress and recruitment process of permanent and temporary staff as well as provincial commissioners. She added that the recruitment process of the Provincial Commissioners will be completed soon. She thanked UNDP and UNAMA for the continued support and cooperation on electoral affairs.

Mr. Grant Kippen assured ECC leadership for the cooperation and support from the UN for the successful conduct of the Presidential Election, scheduled for 28th September. Mr. Kippen further informed about the UN plans to support ECC on capacity building of provincial commissioners, permanent and temporary employees.
